Creating a Website 101

How to make and manage your blog! 

In yola there are two type of pages you can choose:

1. A Blog page which has all of the widgets for a blog already on the webpage  
2. And a Web page which is a blank page with nothing on it

To have a blog page all you do is:

1. Click on the add page button then click blog page from the drop down menu.
2. Choose the icon that says blog under it
3. Third fill in the other information
4. Press ok and a dialog box will apear to put your first blog post
5.  Put in a tittle for your blog post
6. Write the body of your post and edit it with the options given
7. Put in tags then put the post under a category.
8. Finally click ok and you have just completed and posted your first blog post

After all your blog should look like this:

To post another text in your blog you just need to click on the New post button

Editting text

When making a new post you can always edit your text in many ways such as:

Font, Color of Font, Font size, Bold/Underlined/Italic text, highlight color, and much more. (Look at picture below to see difrent editting text options)

Adding Pictures, Links, and html content

When you are posting a blog text you can also add pictures links and even html content within your blog post. (Look at picture below)

 How to add a New Category

To add a new category you just need to click the link that says New Category on the posting page of a blog post and then type the name of your category and your finished.

 Blog Manager

The blog manager is used to mange your blog. With the blog manger you can edit your posts, delete your posts, delete your category's, and commence a new post.

Here are the steps to go to your blog manger:

1. Go to your blog page by clicking the drop down menu on the page tab
2. Click the blog manger by the save button and the post button
3. Finally you are in your blog manger so look at the picture below to learn all the diffrent things in your blog manger  

 About me widget

The about me widget is just a section in your blog that informs readers about you. This widget is already on your blog because when you choose to make the new page a blog page alot of widgets came with it such as this one.

To have this widget on your blog look at the steps and pictures below:

• First go to your blog page
• Second click the edit button on the green box around the about me widget

• Third a box will appear

Finally write in the correct information in the following spaces then click ok and your done!
