When building a website one of the key and most important step in order to start a sucessfull website is preperation. This will help you in many ways such as making your site easier to build, how your sites layout might be, the content it will have, and more. This tutorial will help you get started and prepare you for building the website you want to have.
The first step to building a website is reasearching the kind of websites that interest you. You should also keep in mind the things you like about the website and how its appealing to you. By doing this you get an overview of how your websites structure can be and a topic or subject you want your website to be about. With this info you can also incorparate some of the things your interested into your own website like design and colors.
It is important to build a website upon a topic you have passion for and know about because you will love to build upon your site on something you know and enjoy! When you have passion for something you will always strive to do more, learn more, and build more upon the thing that you have passion for which will give you an advantage for creating not a good site but the greatest site you can create. If I for example didn't like to teach others how to create a site I first off all wouldn't write so much on my site and would proably fail, but because of my passion of teaching others how to create sites I strive to make my site better because it's something I like to do not something I need to do like a job.
Content is the key to having a sucessful website. You should have content that is focused and narrow towards the topic of your website. The number of people that vist your site, the rank your website gets on search engines all depends on the content you have to offer. Content can be anything from movies, videos, games, articals, comics, and anything that you want to put on your website, but depending on how much content your website has it can be the thing that determines your shot at having a good website. For example if you put about 3 hours of the week just putting content your shot at having a sucessful website is imposible rather than another person who puts 14 hours just adding content a week who is proably going to have a very nice site that will proably be sucessfull.
Another important detail for starting is to plan out your website. By planning out your website you are saving more time and also making it easier on yourself. There are many things to plan out when starting a website such as: Then name of your site, the url you want to choose, your navigation method through your site, and getting all your content togther. All you need is a piece of paper a pencil and the will to write and plan these things.
